About Dr. Portales

Army baby-born in Japan, raised in San Antonio, and a proud Conroe local since 2004. He chose the quiet charm of this small town to raise his family with heart and intention. Little did he know that the town would explode with growth over the last two decades. At work and around town, he’s known simply as “Doc,” and he’s married to the fabulous, witty, knock-out-of-a-wife, who insisted on writing her own description on this page. Her name is Deb. 

Together, Doc and Deb have built a life full of love, laughter, and community. Their greatest joy? Their three amazing kids: Tim, Noah, and Charlotte, who are currently navigating the high school adventure. Off the clock, you’ll find Doc cheering on Tim and Charlotte from the tennis courts or enjoying a round of golf with Noah.

Beyond family and work, Doc and Deb are cruise-loving, Disney-dreaming adventurers who treasure moments at the ranch—where cows roam and future steak dinners slowly graze.
